Female Hip Hop Beef: Lil Kim v. Azealia Banks

*le sigh*

Can we just get a “Lady’s Night” 2.0 and be done with the bullshyt PLEASE?!?!?

Via Rap-Up:

T.I. and Iggy Azalea are not the only ones on the receiving end of Azealia Banks’ wrath. The Harlem firecracker had some words for her idol Lil’ Kim after a collaboration went south.  Last month, Banks expressed her admiration for the Queen Bee and hinted that they were working on a record together. But the relationship quickly turned sour. “It really sucks when someone you respect and admire is trying to act brand new when all u did was reach out and try to work,” tweeted Banks, prompting Kim’s camp to issue a statement. “It honestly seems that someone from Azealia’s team would rather have her fans buy into manufactured drama instead of buying music,” said Kim’s publicist C.J. Carter. “Kim knows nothing of any beef, and furthermore has had nothing but nice things to say about her. We don’t know what this is and will not address this any further. It seems that this is another sad attempt by someone trying to use my client for publicity. We wish her nothing but the best.” Banks returned to Twitter to address the situation. “Okay so true tea is that Lil Kim got mad that I wrote a verse for her on a record I wanted her on,” she said. “Everyone knows Lil Kim doesn’t write her own raps and I saw this as a faster more efficient way of getting the track done.” But Kim was not interested in her verse. “She then had her assistant write me some long ass offensive email about how Lil Kim writes her own raps and doesn’t need anyone’s help,” said the “212” rapper. Kim’s loyal fans took to Twitter to defend their icon. “Lol teamlilkim does have some weak disses tho. Lol team minaj has newer, more updated insults. #cyberbullies,” wrote Banks.

I just want Kim to do another banger and be FINITO with the rap beef. Here’s hoping that she won’t respond. Leave that to the youngins.
