In extremely surprising news, actress Katie Holmes has decided to seek a divorce from Tom Cruise after 5 years of marriage and one child together.
Katie filed papers in New York City on Friday.
“This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” says Holmes’s attorney Jonathan Wolfe. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”
Tom’s Lawyers also released a short statement.
“Kate has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children,” says a statement from his rep. “Please allow them their privacy to work this out.”
This is the third marriage for Tom Cruise. He previously was married to the actresses Nicole Kidman, with whom he has two children, and Mimi Rogers.
Ummmmmmmm. WTF?!?!?!? Why?
I have to admit, this one was quite shocking. Katie’s movie career is about to kick off ASAPtually. Look what happened to Nicole Kidman after her divorce from Tom!
