Access Hollywood is reporting that Backstreet Boys’ star Nick Carter and Aaron Carter‘s sister, Leslie – 25, is dead.

“Our family is grieving right now and it’s a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter,” the Carter family said in a statement to Access on Tuesday night. “We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time.”
Leslie was an aspiring singer and songwriter who had a single, “Like Wow!,” that was featured on the “Shrek” soundtrack in 2001.
She also was reportedly a wife and a mother to daughter Alyssa Jane Ashton born on April 1, 2011.
No word yet on what has caused her death.
Sad. And so young!
