Erykah Badu Apologizes For Saying She “Saw Something Good In Hitler”

Oh, Erykah….we LOVE YOU, but NO!!!

Erykah Badu was met with swift and immediate backlash for saying she “saw something good in Hitler” during an interview with Vulture magazine.

“I’m a humanist. I see good in everybody. I saw something good in Hitler,” the soul singer told the interviewer who asked her about traveling to Israel and the Israeli press linking her to Louis Farrakhan and his alleged anti-Semitism.

When the interviewer pressed her on the shocking comment, she said, “Yeah, I did. Hitler was a wonderful painter…..I don’t care if the whole group says something, I’m going to be honest. I know I don’t have the most popular opinion sometimes.”

*slaps forehead*

Well, Mizz Badu had a sudden change of heart and realized the error in her choice of words.

“People are in real pain. So I understand why my ‘good’ intent was misconstrued as ‘bad’. In trying to express a point, I used 1 of the worst examples possible, Not to support the cruel actions of an unwell, psychopathic Adolf Hitler, but to only exaggerate a show of compassion,” she wrote in an apology on Twitter.
