I’ve tried my very best to avoid this Breezy/Soulja story for as long as I can (for OBVIOUS REASONS), but because the legendary Sir Tyson hopped in the studio to bless us with a diss track….how can I NOT speak on it!
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Chris Brown and rapper Soulja Boy are set to fight each other in a celebrity boxing match brought to us by 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather‘s The Money Team Promotions.
So how did this whole fiasco get started? Instagram, naturally. The rapper “liked” a photo of Brown’s ex Karrueche Tran‘s photos, and because the singer is so impulsive, he had to react. This kicked off a week-long back and forth between these two about who is tougher and who reps their “Blood” gang the hardest (although neither is from L.A. SMH!!!).
Fast forward to this weekend when it was announced that Mayweather would be training Soulja, while boxing great Mike Tyson would take a stab at training Breezy for the highly anticipated event!
Oh, but there’s more! Soulja took to Instagram to throw shots at Tyson for his part in helping Brown, and of course the boxing champ didn’t take those punches lying down. He decided to hop in the recording booth and record a diss song titled “If You Show Up.”
“If you show up, it’s going down. I’m gonna teach him how to knock your ass out,” Tyson raps. TMZ reports that Brown will be doing a verse on the track and a music video is in the works as well.
“IF YOU SHOW UP… It’s going down. I’m going to teach him how to knock your ass out @souljaboy. Song dropping soon on my YouTube with @chrisbrownofficial. Produced by @thedamonelliott. S/O @fredfrenchy,” Tyson captioned the Instagram snippet.
I’m already exhausted (but I would be lying if I told you that I do not want to see this match – I’m ashamed!).
