Reese Witherspoon Talks How “Sorry” & “Embarrassed” They Were Following DWI Arrest On GMA (VIDEO)

While promoting her new movie Mud on Good Morning America earlier today,  Oscar winning actress Reese Witherspoon spoke out about her recent arrest in Atlanta, Georgia following her husband, James Toth‘s DWI arrest.

Reese was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge, where she asked the police: “Do you know my name?” and “You’re about to find out who I am.”

Well, the 37-year old mother of two made no excuses for her behavior that night and profusely apologized to everyone, including the police she disrespected.

“We went out to dinner in Atlanta and we had one too many glasses of wine,” she explained. “We thought we were fine to drive and we absolutely were not. We know better and we shouldn’t have done that.”

She continued, “I saw him arresting my husband and I literally panicked. I told him I was pregnant. I’m not pregnant. I said all kinds of crazy things. It’s just completely unacceptable and we are so sorry and embarrassed. I think we made a mistake and it was something that will absolutely never happen again.”
